Coach Gilardi clearly plays favorites, and if you're not one of the favorites, you might as well not even be on the team. Very dishonest in recruiting aswell

Mean. So mean. Degrading. Great salesman. You will not have the coach you met during recruiting.

    Knows The Game

Coach Gilardi has about 8 players on his Stony Brook team that he loves and would die for, the other 35-or-so he would trade for a bag of doughnuts. If a player is experiencing any type of struggle, whether that’s grades, mental health or both, he won’t hesitate to call you into his office and ream you out for impacting the team negatively. Rather than try to find out what’s going on and devise a plan to help his players grow, he will tell said player to “figure it the f*** out or he’ll cut you”. Those are the exact words he relayed to me. Don’t play lacrosse at SBU, boys.
