The college basketball atmosphere is inherently intense; players from all over come together to win, and coaches are meant to push us to achieve that success. Coach Boilard absolutely possesses the mindset that winning is the priority, and he emphasizes that consistency and executing the details correctly are what it takes to get there. However, this strict focus on flawless execution can sometimes lean toward an "old school" mentality. By its nature, basketball is a game of mistakes, and the most successful teams are often those that can adapt fluidly, navigate adversity, and respond positively to errors. At times, his intensity can go a little too far, making it harder for the team to play through inevitable mistakes. He is deeply committed to excellence, but balancing that intensity with a bit more grace for the natural flow of the game would take the team culture even further.
