Mr. Marrochello knowingly kept on an abusive coach (likely more than one) and did nothing to warn the students or the parents of said coach’s misdeeds. Worse, said coach was not fired from her position and former players were forced to sign NDAs, preventing them from speaking out. If there was an option for lower than one star, I would have given that. Mr. Marrochello failed the students that he is there to protect, in my opinion. Shame on Boston University for keeping him employed.

Drew really only cared about men’s hockey. Took no action when concerns were brought up by players. Somewhat mia

Drew was a very passionate athletic director and had a great interest in all of the programs at Boston University.

Nice and friendly guy but too soft to take action when athletes are mistreated

I don’t like him. He called us for a meeting with a 2 hour notice during finals to talk to us about the Casey situation after clearly having signed an NDA so he couldn’t answer any question we asked, complete waste of time. He only cares about his hockey boys.

I did not have a good experience with Drew. He was the athletic director at BU while I was a female athlete at the school. It seemed his only priority was men's hockey. In my experience, my team brought issues with our coaching staff directly to him and through process of end of the year anonymous reviews. There was a lot of effort to cover up these issues and "save face" but little effort to fix the problems for the well-being of the student athletes. In our situation, the allegations and issues were serious problems and the players had to not only create the action but follow through with it the whole way. It felt like there was no one we could trust in higher positions (such as an athletic director) making the situation worse. When we as a team finally got some productive action, the athletic department sent out an email to alumni about the departure of an abusive coach and left out the abuse. They not only left out the abuse, but listed the coach's accolades and accomplishments, wished them well, and painted them to be a good coach. This not only harmed the players that endured the abuse and broke trust between athletes and the athletic department but opened the door for the abuse to continue further. Again, the players had to take action themselves to insure our voices were heard and our story was told by going to news outlets. This is the last thing an athlete wants to do on top of an already strenuous schedule and could have been avoided if Drew took the wellbeing of athletes (specifically female athletes) seriously.

Feels like he doesn't really care about your experience as a female athlete, and doesn't value your opinion despite the fact he says he does.

Over four years there, including training three summers, he attended only two of our games while consistently showing up to and promoting the men’s games; he was rarely present on our campus, dismissed concerns and conflicts, and did nothing to support me or my team.

He covered up sexual harassment in the women's soccer program for YEARS. Parents and players went to report various levels of abuse & he simply didn't care. This happened across many different sports. I truly don't know how he is still in a position of power. His job is to protect and keep athletes safe. He has failed to do that on so many levels. I love Boston University but for this man to still be kept around especially after the Alex Cooper documentary is a disgrace and major F U to all female athletes.
