Great coach for having a balanced college experience. Takes academics and athletics seriously. Very understanding but not the most knowledgeable. He can be very motivational but at times he cannot see/acknowledge his own flaws. But I enjoy having him as a coach.

Coach Ian has a great volleyball IQ that helps his players be mindful of the game. He is detail-oriented about the game plan before a match which is helpful when walking into a competition. He likes to receive feedback on his coaching.

He's very approachable and reasonable but can struggle with creating a competitive environment/giving feedback. Appreciate that he considers academics/socials along with volleyball.
