As a girl, I never once felt uncomfortable he cares so much about you and he really really wants you to succeed not only in the pool but especially outside of the classroom. His mentality is that swimming is only a part of your college career so he lets you be active in other clubs and attend academic events as needed. Hes not a pushover and you do have to show up but if you earn his respect he will respect you. Great coach he will forever hold a place in my heart!

He actually cares about his job as a coach and will help you if you ask him. Nice and thoughtful person overall too. He is fair and not judgemental, which makes his swimmers feel welcomed.

AccessibleCoolDirectIntenseJim is as intense as you want him to be as a coach. If you show that you don't care about dropping time, he wont bother you about training harder. If you tell him your goals, he will push you to reach them.

AccessibleCoolDirectIntenseProbably would have quit swimming a long time ago if it weren't for his dedication to me and to this sport. It was because of him that I have stuck with it this long. Could not have more respect for him as a coach and as a person. The best coach I've ever had by far.

AccessibleCoolDirectIntenseOut of all the 13 years I have been swimming he has been the best coach. He is personal and makes each swimmer feel important. You need to make an effort but he cares about everyone on the team. He loves to tell stories and knows all his swimmers personally. He is like a father figure.

AccessibleCoolDirectJim is a great coach. He prioritizes academics over swimming, whice parents like, as you go to college to learn and get an education. He's very good with getting to know his swimmers on an individual level and you know he's there for you if you ever need anything. He keeps swimming fun and not too intense so everyone enjoys going to practice.
