"im a parent too and I can tell you Coach Mueller is an easy going, kind, intelligent man that cares about the players. I understand when your son doesnt play or is cut from the team hard feelings come, often times problems arise from our frustation.

Cares About AcademicsDisorganizedPoor Communication

This coach is completely checked out. Doesn't care about players, field or anything else. Other teams complained to the ncaa about how bad the field is. His assistant coach does everything and he is unhinged. Truly awful experience from beginning to end. Horrible culture, players are treated so badly they just give up trying. This year several players won awards by the conference and the coaches still couldn't win many games. They blame everything on the players and get outcoached in every single game. Stay away at all costs! Almost the entire 2026 team is going into the portal!

As others have said, the head coach has checked out. The assistant coach runs the team and does a poor job. He makes bad baseball decisions both on and off the field. He is a bad communicator and does not treat the players well. Both the head coach and assistant coach should go.

Coach has checked out and allows his assistant,Jeff Kaier, to make all the wrong calls and blow games. The athletes know it, the spectators know it and the opposing teams laugh about it. What a joke for a D1 program. I'm alittle skeptical about the high ratings with no reviews. Anyone with any insight knows that these athletes deserve better than Mueller and his joke of an assistant Kaier

Poor Communication

As a parent of a student Athlete who attends/attended UA. The baseball coaches are something to be desired. They are poor communicators not only with Athletes but parents as well. Also very misleading and lying to athletes. Not to mention, this is a State School in the heart of the Capital, and the baseball field is worse then some HS or Rec Fields. Every other field at UA is beautiful, but not the baseball field. This, as we were told is due to Coach Mueller wanting "home field" advantage!!!! You play in the North East. At the very lest have the outfield and foul territory turfed. Shame on the AD for Allowing a D1 State School's field to look like this, how can you compete on the recruiting side. Especially since all other schools in the conference have top notch facilities, IE: Binghamton (even before the endowment)

Coach Mueller is understanding and someone that you could talk to for hours. He can sometimes seem lackadaisical from time to time but when he gets going he truly is a great coach.
