Based on our family’s experience, I consider Kim Masimore an ineffective and incompetent coach whose judgment and leadership failed our daughter. Our formal complaint to the AD last spring described months of bullying, targeting, and isolation lead by Masimore who created a toxic environment that damaged our daughter’s confidence, destroyed friendships, wrecked her senior year, negatively impacted her mental health, and ruined the sport for our family forever. Can’t even watch lacrosse any more! Dickinson’s own records list Masimore at 90–89 over her first 12 seasons, hardly a record of excellence! Her handling of our daughter’s experience shows a serious lack of competence in managing and supporting student-athletes. I would not recommend her or the program to another family.

Coach Masimore was very honest and direct through my career, that’s about it. She lacked any knowledge or change in her game plan and cost us many games due to play calling or should i say lack of play calling. She has no idea how to run an offense. She would expect us to support events throughout campus without asking if we actually supported it (political and universal events). I do not think she understands how to run an attack, she thinks it’s a motion but it’s really plays that she hasn’t changed for years that are easily picked up on by opponents. She isn’t hard enough on players and is too much of a “figure it out on your own” coach. I do not recommend at all. She has zero concept of the game and her preach on mental health is hypocritical when she makes the team do excessive and unnecessary things on their “days off”. No wonder so many people quit and don’t respect her. She thinks she is better than everyone else and it was miserable playing for her. Worst coach I’ve ever had.

This coach is manipulative and passive aggressive preaching team chemistry but team culture is horrible. Lack of understanding of lacrosse shows in the offense and massive amount of unforced turnovers. She refuses to change her force to goal -lack of movement offense. She will meet with you and tell you that she only predicts a minimal role on the team with no chance to play yourself onto the field. Team culture is drinking and fake kindness-don't be fooled. This team will never win with this coach and she should take mental health awareness training.

This coach made me hate myself and hate lacrosse. Pitted players against each other. Used meetings to embarrass and shame players. Kim is a bully. There’s a reason she has so many people quit and transfer every year.

I was recruited to play but what i realized is she manipulates her players against one another as a motivation. I've never seen a coach also coach and plan a private meeting and plan to have teammates provide feedback of complaints on emotional behavior to its own team mates through a controlled manipulative setting. Then she tries to have these players sign a contract to control their behavior while the rest of the team signs a different contract. That's failure to bring a team together.

As a player I never u Dr stood why fall ball was t take. Seriously. The running test is a joke no one trains, the lift program is unsupervised no dedication to encouraging players to get stronger. No nutritional development. I watch all the Instagram of centennial teams and they act the part. Dickinson pretends not sure why the leadership is so I dedicated. The team felt the effects many many ACL injuries and it’s definitely due to poor training and practice.

Confidentiality- as a player when you share confidential info with the coach you never expect it to be used against you or as a threat. Coach masimore asks us to be vulnerable and share our emotions and when you do then she uses it against you in behavior, playing time, starting etc. she’s a master of making you feel bad in a game when you’ve given it your all. Never share your thoughts with her.

This coach is a bully. She lies to her superiors about her actions and that has been proven. She recruits underclassmen to lie to upperclassmen. She threatens certain players. She needs to be replaced immediately. Disastrous 2022 season. She plays victim and cries in front of the team constantly. Dickinson must take action, this coach is an embarrassment.

As a player when I see a coach yelling at the refs it’s just sends the wrong message . Refs are there to do a job but I was mortified by masimores behavior with the refs. She constantly treats them poorly. Frankly I felt so bad for them. She was not a good example for women in this sport when it came to competition

I’ve never known a coach who uses her own teammates to send a message because she can’t do it herself. She ambushes her own teammates against one another and then creates separate contracts for the team. She has no understanding on how to develop a culture. She leads by bullying, manipulation and threatening. Team lost 6 players this year due to her poor culture and management of team. What’s sad is she even lied to administration about how she handled this. Her record is 34-34 in 9 years . Time to move on Dickinson. Change is good-

This coach is a bully. She lies and does not care about her team. She picks on certain players and will loose games in order to punish them. She never teaches the team any plays and I watched for 4 years as she destroyed her team physically and mentally. She is truly a terrible human being.

Coach Masimore was a great coach, mentor, and person. She would consistently check in with everyone on the team and really had a passion for the team and the team culture on and off the field. I sometimes wished that she would direct the team more and push or challenge us more on the field.

Coach is the most supportive woman I've ever had the privilege to know besides my own mom! She cares about your health and success as a person, before a lacrosse player.
