Kim really cares for her players as people and students, as well as athletes. She has been a part of the game of lacrosse for so long, and you can really see how much she loves it through the way that she coaches. She is never hesitant to tell you how it is when you go to her for something. It takes some getting used to, but her honesty is something that will make you better in the long run.

Kim is a very dedicated coach and you can tell she truly loves her job by the way she shows up everyday. I think she struggles to connect with players on the team but she still tries her best. She is understanding and motherly, but sometimes has poor communication and isn’t honest with us.

I just graduated from Davidson and played under Kim for four years. struggled with playing time being someone who would start some games and then ride the bench the next game. It was very inconsistent and I consistently asked for feedback and wanted to know why it was this way. She told me a new thing every time I went into her office about why I wasn’t playing. It seemed to be an excuse after excused because she couldn’t come up with a good reason, but only ever played her starters and didn’t sub them out it created a very unmotivated team because no one on the bench ever expected they would be able to play so then the year after our team was not prepared for game situations and did not have the confidence in themselves or each other to compete on the field.
