While in season we were constantly yelled at with no direction on how to correct ourselves with many of my former teammates crying before during and after practices and games. Practices do not consist of drills but rather “every days” which did not allow us to grow as athletes but practice the same things 4 days a week. There are no breaks in the week three days of practice and two days of weight lifting along with camps, combines, or fundraisers that are mandatory left a lot of players with only the mornings to themselves. Multiple of my former teammates constantly complained about being lied to and never getting a straight answer on playing time. The other coaches from this team is what made our players true college athletes while sadly coach Smith cause a lot of distress to people’s mental health.
