Truly unsure how this man is still employed. He wins often but does not care about his players unless they are foreign or wealthy. Recruits enough decent foreigners to be successful but never once asked how classes were going, how I was or gave any feedback on how to get better. Constantly made inappropriate comments and racial remarks. Not sure he would be successful if he didn’t have competent assistants.

Very laid back, minimal effort put into practices, only cares about a few players instead of team overall, is very knowledgeable about the game but won’t give you honest feedback on how to improve your own game. Doesn’t care about academics, badgers athletes who do well in school.

He is a great coach with a lot of knowledge of the game. However, there's one thing I would recommend is that he could be a little more enthusiastic while coaching.

Phil is a good coach. The program has grown to a final 4 team during his time at UAlbany and the overall students GPA is outstanding.
