Coach Lopes has ruined the game of soccer for so many you women. Many have left the program broken and ruined, rather than developed and uplifted. I have never felt so blatantly disrespected by a person in power as I have when talking to him. I feel small and useless whenever he is in the room. He has serious affected the team’s mental health as about 75% of us see the sports psychologist and mostly talk about only him and the way he speaks to us. Be prepared to suffer mentally with no real reward.

Sam Lopes is the type of coach that every player wants to play for in college. He is extremely knowledgable about the sport and you can feel how passionate he is about soccer when he coaches. While soccer is important to him, he is even more concerned with the team culture and building a reputable program. He preaches about how the program comes before the team and self. Coach Lopes is not here to simply build a team, but to build a family.
