Intense coaching but gets results. Improvement of players is obvious if you follow college and pro tennis.

If you want a great tennis program, this is the place to go. Coaches are intense but know the game. If you are serious about improving your game, they know how to develop players.

As a parent of a former player I believe this program is one of the best in the country. The coaches don't have all of the same resources as some of these schools in the SEC, but that is what makes them special. Their ability to take a player from a struggling number 6 to top ten in the nation says it all. Could not recommend this program and coaches enough.

From my experience this coach cares deeply about his players, not just as athletes but as people. He has high expectations but they come from a place of wanting to develop their players. He is supportive, invested, committed and deeply passionate about the program and the school. During challenging times he has been someone players ( including myself) could rely on for support, guidance and understanding. If you are willing to work hard, take responsibility and grow on and off the court, this is a coach who truly cares about your development.

Belittles the players. Not fair. Believes in negative reinforcement!!! Doesn’t care about their academic achievements accept for them to pass so they can play. Wants them all to go pro. Unrealistic. !!!!!! Doesn’t try to make them an all round good player! And they are not respectful to other teams

This coach is extremely controlling and toxic. They isolate players, discourage going home, and create tension with families by talking bad about them. They constantly trash talk players behind their backs and tear everyone’s game down, they lead by fear. They do not care about you as a person at all—only results. They stir up drama, make up situations, and create a hostile environment. I left this program feeling worse about myself than when I arrived. This coach and assistant ruined my experience. Do not come to this school unless they aren’t there anymore.

Cheats at all events hosted by his team. If you visited and did not sign with him he makes sure your draw is against players higher ranked. Puts his team players in spots against easier players and teams. Sad for a coach. Hope no good players sign for him.

This coach is all about winning. He’s not about make an all around student athlete. He will do whatever it takes to win and hurt whoever he has to. You will only a couple a chances to prove yourself and then your done. He partial to players that just want to player over and above thier 20 hours a week. And players who want to go pro. He yells, cusses and makes the players a nervous wreck and humiliates on court

Coach Earnshaw has made a lot of his players unhappy during his short time coaching at NC State. He is not a good leader or role model for the young women coming in to play tennis.
