Coach K brings contagious energy, accountability, and a strong commitment to player development especially for me off the field. She creates a positive team environment in every setting while pushing her athletes to compete at a high level and continue improving as people. Her leadership, communication, and passion for the game make her a respected and impactful coach. The word passion is always brought up when we speak about Coach and her impact on myself and my teammates. What stands out more than anything too about Coach Kara is how deeply she cares about her players as people, not just athletes. She takes the time to support players’ families, academics, and life beyond the field, always making sure they feel valued and supported. She has also been incredibly encouraging to those interested in coaching too like me, offering guidance, opportunities to learn, and helping players grow their confidence. Thank you Coach

Kara Concheck transformed my daughter’s game with her coaching and gave her the confidence she lacked to to take her game to the next level. After being coached by Kara she had her best season yet. Every female lacrosse player should be so lucky to have a coach like Kara.

Current parent of a Winthrop women’s lacrosse player, and our family is eternally grateful for the impact Coach Kara Concheck has had on this program and on my daughter personally even having departed last winter. Her legacy remains in this program and is shown to this day. Coach Kara has a remarkable ability to identify and recruit talent that truly fits, not just athletically, but culturally. She rebuilt an ENTIRE roster with careful intention, bringing in young women who are not only VERY skilled but who very much care about each other. Watching this team now, it’s clear how special that foundation is from the chemistry, the support, the closeness. These girls are connected in a way that goes far beyond the field and I know this wasn’t be accident! Our parent group speaks on this often. The way she has empowered her assistant Hannah to carry on that legacy of family, accountability, and togetherness speaks volumes about her character and vision. That kind of leadership, where success continues even after you step away. This program is thriving because of the work Kara put in. She has an eye for talent and an even greater ability to bring out the best in her players. We are on a great streak. Most importantly, Kara made my daughter feel valued every single day even not having played for her long. As a parent, there is nothing more meaningful than knowing your child is seen, supported, and cared for. Coach Kara will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we are so proud to be part of a program she helped build. Coach Kara will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we are so proud to be part of a program she helped build…masterfully. Go Eagles

We try to tune into Coach K’s games at her new school Capital, mostly because we are anxious to see how her new players especially who have never played are growing under her and we are quite frankly lacrosse nuts. We just so happened to turn in on Saturday. A parent who became a friend, and daughter who would “run through a brick wall” for Kara. The beauty of what we have seen from the stands over multiple seasons was the exact opposite of what some anonymous comment suggest after a great win from her girls. Pathetic person trying to dim her light. I watched many of our games both in person and through livestreams even when she took new positions, and Coach Concheck consistently showed deep care for her players. She celebrated them, hugged them after big moments (we saw this yesterday on stream!) and tough losses, and constantly encouraged them from the sideline. I have seen her carry players off the field who were hurt and stand with them for comfort. Yes, she is intense, but it’s the kind of intensity that great coaches bring because they believe in their athletes and expect them to reach their potential. During games, she was always engaged, calling plays, teaching in real time, and helping players see the field better. Her voice was one of instruction, accountability, and belief. She challenged the team, but always in a way that pushed them to grow stronger, not just as athletes, but as young ladies. “Period.” What stood out most to me as a parent was how she modeled strength and confidence for the players. She handled difficult moments with composure and conviction. She showed these young women that leadership means standing tall, communicating clearly, and supporting your teammates. My daughter left the Bulldog program not only a better lacrosse player, but a more confident and resilient person. Coach Concheck didn’t just coach a sport, she helped shape strong, capable women who learned how to face challenges head-on. As a parent, I will always be grateful for the example she set and the impact she had on so many athletes.
