    Gail was the best coach I ever had. I played under her at Anderson, where I transferred in and she made me fall in love with lacrosse again after having a bad experience at my previous college. Yes Gail is a tough coach, but she wants you to get better. She motivates you and pushes you to be the best athlete you can be while also caring about your mental health and also cares about her athletes and their families. I never had a coach show so much care not only to me as an athlete, but also my family. She pushed me to become the best lacrosse player I could be and made me so much better. When I played underneath Gail, it was like night and day compared to other coaches. You want a coach that cares about their athletes and also wants to win! Gail is the perfect example of that. She is amazing and I wish I was able to still be playing under her.

    So excited to have Coach Sydney back at Furman. We are all excited to get back to campus and start the season off right! Coach Sydney has been helpful this summer, and knowing how much she likes the new staff is so encouraging.

    I will keep things positive and not comment about previous coaches. What I can say is my daughter is excited that Coach Sydney is still with the team. She was a needed positive addition to FULAX last year. Excited to see a new staff that Coach Syd will be a part of.

    Furman can’t seem to figure out how to hire

    Furman as to smarten up and get rid of this coach. She has learned under two of the worst and most abusive coaches in lacrosse. It’s very public now that the head coach was fired for abusive behavior. During her time, all Sydney did was standby and watch and do nothing to support her players. She is a terrible leader and role model.
