He forced me to make a major swing change the very first time I asked for help with my swing and did not help with the fix AT ALL, even after attempts to speak with him about it. All I needed was a little focused strength training, one of his supposed specialties, but I figured that out well after my college career was over. His coaching style probably works in football, but he was not helpful as a golf coach, kind of a jerk really which didn't work for me. He has recruited well and has had some success, but play somewhere else if you enjoy liking your coach. Maybe things have changed, he's been there a while and gotten older, so I imagine it has. However, back then he was known for telling players to "just fix it" when they complained of playing problems, just like he did with me. The most memorable moment I had was picture day. The day before team pictures, one of the players (KH if I remember correctly, in case any former player read this) asked me if he would see me at such and such course tomorrow, and of course I said yes, "see you there". Once I arrived to practice, it only took about 30 minutes to realize that I had been tricked into driving to the course so I would NOT be in the team photo. Too bad for them, I figured it out, and wore one of the girls' polos for photos, since I did not have my own yet. I never told anyone else on the team what happened... one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.
