    Poor Communication

Coach Reddish is not honest at all. He likes to pit players against each other and it creates an us vs them atmosphere within the team. He outright lies about your future, doesn't not support you - unless you're one of his favorites. There was (not sure if it's still prevalent) some discrimination against religion and students who had higher academic goals (ie sciences, engineering, ...). There is no communication nor real coaching - eg coming off the pitch there is never any discussion / teaching. Believes in belittling his non-favorites. He is backed by the AD (one of his former players), so any complaints going to the AD fall of deaf ears. I would not recommend this program to anyone as it is really dysfunctional and non-team oriented - no wonder he has such a poor w/l record.

Wanted to love the program but, it unfortunately fell short of expectations. The school itself is beautiful. The team is close-nit in the sense that they were all experiencing the same issues with her. Coach Ali has created a very toxic team environment that has girls question themselves, their skills, and love of the game. She is NOT a mental health advocate. If anything, she has contributed to many of the girl's mental anguish. Coach Ali needs a specialized coaching staff (hitting, infield, outfield, etc) instead she runs the practices herself that have become routine. Once she identifies her starting 9 you basically will not see the field, despite her making endless promises to the girls that they will get opportunities. She plays mind games and has promised this to many over the years but has yet to show that and her confidence in the team that she had recruited. The student/athlete life balance struggles. She does not adhere to compliance and exceeds the maximum hours and mandatory activities each week and does not listen to the trainer's recommendations. Because of this - players suffered physically, mentally, and academically. The player injuries, grades and team overall GPA support this.

    Cares About AcademicsDisorganizedPoor Communication

Doesn't communicate well with players. Team lacks basic skills coaching. No batting coach on team to evaluate and work on mechanics. Poor defense coaching routine off season and during season. Never uses game video to evaluate team or opponents with players. Poor preparation. Players dislike current situation and numerous players are transferring as a result.

DO NOT GO HERE. I am leaving solely because of him. He changes every reason why you don’t play in meetings. Called me a great team manager when I got hurt. Called a timeout when we were up by 2 and said that we are f-ing embarrassing and don’t deserve to play volleyball. Cares more about talking to his kid on the bench than watching the game. Takes reps away from our 2 setters in 6V6 so that he can hit and set. He admitted that it is to “boost” his ego. Cares about himself more than the players. And has had 11 girls transfer out in last than a year. HE IS THE ISSUE. Admin says we aren’t a priority and we don’t make enough money to get a new coach. They said investigations will be launched but don’t follow through. THIS MIDDLE AGED MAN bouncing balls on us and giving girls concussions so he can feel good about himself. He stepped with full force on a girls back when she was laying on her stomach because he thought it was funny instead of WALKING around. He has destroyed our team culture and doesn’t think he is the reason we don’t win and WANT to win. Plus he said that we are EMBARRASSMENTS TO THE VOLLEYBALL WORLD. Like what sane GOOD coach says that to girls you are coaching. He isn’t a coach. He just there to degrade you and make himself feel better.DO NOT come here unless you want to feel like a worthless pos.
