Great guy. Passionate about the game. Prepares student-athletes for life beyond college. Tons of experience and contacts. A legend in D3 lacrosse.

My favorite coach I’ve ever had. Extremely passionate about the game and his players. Puts a huge amount of importance into academics. I don’t know if I learned more about life or lacrosse during my four short years of being around Coach Moan.

Coach Tom was a great coach. He says it like it is and a lot of people don't like that. If you want to be pushed to your limits, he is great. He cares about your development on and off the court and teaches valuable life lessons throughout your time with him. Coach Tom does a lot of 6v6 drills. He likes fast play and tempo. He is great at making game plans and scouting. Coach Tom lacks boundaries sometimes. He tries to turn teammates against each other and chooses captains based on who will give him the most information about their other teammates. He wants to know every detail of your life and gets angry if you don't oblige. This, in turn, creates a toxic team culture. He also isolates you from your parents and peers. He won't allow you to interact with your parents until after games on game days, even if your parents flew in to see you. He also goes out of his way to make sure you don't get back on time to do anything on the weekends, even if that means stopping at the slowest place in the world to eat.

Still coaching pre-possession clock, constantly outcoached, he is outcoached in most games and has no ability to make coaching adjustments. Frequently lies to players and treats most like they don't matter. He refuses to get an assistant coach and feels he can run the show his egotistical self. Its amazing that the AD keeps paying him.
