One of the most wonderful people I’ve ever had the chance to be coached by. Truly helped me fall back in love with swimming.

Beth Alford-Sullivan is the kind of coach who changes the entire trajectory of a young athlete's life. She cares deeply about winning, but never at the expense of the person underneath the uniform, and that balance is what makes her rare. She pushes her athletes hard because she believes in what they're capable of, on the track and off it, and she takes just as much pride in who they become as in what they achieve. Give her your honest effort and she will match it every single time, showing up fully invested in your growth as a competitor and as a young adult. She is a great coach, but an even better person, and anyone lucky enough to be mentored by her comes out stronger for it.

Kate is always on top of her plan for us and is a great communicator. She leads well and is very vocal and intense. She will push you to be the best you can be every single time we step on the field. She is willing to listen when something is going on and will do anything to help you if she can.

Incredible coach. If you put in the effort and want to improve she will get you there. She is a top D1 coach and tough on her athletes so don’t expect it to be easy, but that goes for any high-performance rowing. She also cares about her athletes a lot and will go to great lengths to support them outside of the sport, but sometimes academics comes second, especially for those on scholarships.
