Coach Redrick has shown me how to push through adversity. Running track can be hard mentally and physically. When I had a bad meet and was upset he was there for me and made me feel confident in myself even when things didn’t go my way. He is a great coach and person.

Coach Kanga is nice but also a serious coach when we are practicing or during a match. I would say he is older school but not in a bad or abusive way just stern. The team is close but the boys team and girls team are pretty separate and don’t hangout a lot outside of practice.

I get along with Coach Kanga, he is a good coach but also understanding. When his athletes have injuries he takes them seriously and doesn’t pressure us to push through them but rather to get them checked and to heal as fast as possible. Overall, he is a very positive person and makes playing tennis fun.

Coach Kanga is a good coach and I am very grateful for him bringing me here and allowing me to play D1 tennis being an international student. He is a good coach and knows what he is talking about. He is a good communicator. He can be intense sometimes but it’s not in a bad way and very motivational.
