    Disorganized

Martinovich does not care about non "star" players (including those that are starters, but arent making as big of an impact). Does not care about coaching, just tries serving as a field manager of sorts. He has pushed coaches and player away due to his one-way of seeing things, he is not a team oriented individual. Ex-coaches and players do not approve of the way his coaching methods, and that is reflected in his (padded) losing record.

    IntenseOld School MentalityPoor Communication

Marty was a horrible communicator and did not care about kids who didn’t meet his standards, even if he recruited them. Okay football coach, but not a good human. Didn’t care much at all about anyone but the “good” players. Devolopment didn’t matter much and would meet often with students who he would force to quit by making them miserable. Many coaches have left due to his personality and superiority complex.

Academically the school is great but our basketball experience so far has been less than expected. Cons: The coach doesn’t demonstrate a high basketball IQ. We have lost games due to his poor decisions. He definitely has favorites that he plays even when it’s not best for the team. His subbing is very frustrating. It definitely makes you wonder if the AD is paying attention. Pros: The girls seem to like the coach off the court. He tries to find fun team activities. The coach is friendly with the parents but it’s very awkward for him, but he does have favorite parents too! Overall, our daughter is making lifelong friends and that is what ultimately matters. These girls have 4 years to make it to the ncaa and it’s heartbreaking watching them work so hard and know they won’t even rank. We have a couple years remaining and pray they won’t be as frustrating as the previous.

Not what you think you’re signing up for. Rarely actually coaches, instead gossips behind your back about all your flaws. Heavily plays favorites. Recruits great talent but often only plays them for their first few seasons until the lack of coaching catches up. Expects too much of you on the field and not very accommodating of academics. Negative environment that affected players’ mental health.
