Discipline yourself and no one else has to….you will hear this motto over and over. And if yo turn his words into action you will become a better competitor on the court and in the classroom, I would describe my experience as transformational and grew up a lot in the four years in this volleyball program.

Coach Raba has built one of the most respected programs in Division III lacrosse through consistency, passion, and an unwavering commitment to his players. He demands excellence every single day, but what separates him is the way he pushes players toward greatness while still making them feel supported and valued. His teams play with toughness, discipline, and confidence because his players genuinely believe in him and the culture he has created. He has an incredible ability to bring people together, develop leaders, and create an environment where players are challenged to grow not only as athletes, but also as students, teammates, and men. What makes Coach Raba truly special is the lasting impact he has on the people around him. He cares deeply about his players and their families, and the relationships he builds continue long after graduation. His passion for Wesleyan University lacrosse is evident in everything he does, and his energy, loyalty, and authenticity set the tone for the entire program. Over the years, he has built a culture centered around accountability, hard work, and belief, helping establish Wesleyan as a national power while creating an experience his players will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

He was a great guy and one of the most knowledgeable coaches I've played for and been around. He had his own philosophies and theories of baseball which was unique and probably rubbed some players & parents the wrong way but I respected him as a coach.
