Rowing under Geoff was the best thing that's happened to me. I learned leadership skills, and pushed myself to achieve goals I never thought myself capable of. He is extremely knowledgeable about rowing, stemming from his 20 years working under and rowing for Gladstone. Extremely passionate too. Brought in amazing recruits, transformed our culture from that of a club team to that of a top tier IRA team. Very caring and available, always checking in with athletes, being flexible with practice schedules, etc. Extremely professional, kind, and caring. My teammates and I agree that he is a rare coach who makes it obvious that he cares and wants nothing but the best for his athletes.
