I’ve had my fair share with coaches from club level to university level and I can’t say I have anything good to say about my experience with university coaches, especially this one. With that being said I had to step away from the sport that got me to where I am now, not because I wanted to but because the love for field hockey has been stripped out from under me. Although I'm not on the team anymore it is still in my heart to care about how this team/my roommates/friends are being treated. I can’t not help them do something about it. To say that these girls are miserable is an understatement, and nothing has been done to change the culture of this team that was absolutely brought on by the Coach. To hear about the carelessness this Coach has towards these girls is saddening. And not only do I hear about it from them but basically everywhere I go someone has something say about this program and their record. Which is my last point; these girls are not learning how to be better field hockey players due to the lack of knowledge this coach has, they seem to be better off coaching themselves.
