In my opinion Herb is demeaning, verbally abusive, and creates a culture of meanness with the Felician softball program. This trickles right down into how the girls treat each other with his favorites being immune to good conduct. I have heard his post game speeches, which he tries to have out of spectator ear shot, and I was horrified at the things said to his players. Even worse is that he has destroyed the academic careers of and number his players by placing softball ahead of academics forcing students to change majors that would conflict with practices and games to keep scholarships. These athletes are as close to professionals as you can get and deserve better than a 12u coach with a massive ego and no self discipline.
