To start with the good: The coach absolutely knows his stuff, he is fair about getting the players who deserve it playing time, and everyone now and then he has his good moments as a coach However, he abuses his position as a head coach and feels as if he has to be incontrol of everything, he struggles with recruiting and bringing in a good number of freshman, he is degrading to his players and almost NEVER gives them honest compliments without it being backhanded in some way shape of form, and he absolutely plays favorites in terms of who he likes and how he treats them. I quit this team because I didn’t feel wanted or valued and my time spent playing underneath Skvarch as a coach has been awful. I resented showing up to practices, I felt scared to talk to him individually, and I felt that every mistake I made was amplified. 25+ quitters and transfers in the last 4 years speaks for itself. He needs a gut check and I hope he can learn to treat his players better.
