In all honesty, when I very first played under Coach Hofmann, I had doubts about the fact that his playing experience wasn’t a lot. However, he quickly snubbed those notions when he drew up a run play and thought out nearly every scenario. The level at which he understands the run game is definitely advanced and it has shown in his time at SVU. He is a detailed individual and sees things on the field from a unique perspective. At times, he may struggle to communicate his exact thoughts about a play. However, he is patient with his players. As a person, Coach Hofmann is as nice as they come. He consistently checks in on his players before, throughout, and after the season. He continues to check in on players that are no longer with the team because he genuinely cares and hopes that they are doing well.
