I can’t say enough good things about Coach Hovis. She is consistently there for those on the team both inside and outside of practice. Coach Hovis acknowledges academics, athletics, mental health, physical health, and much more. You can tell that she is rooting for you in every race as if it was her in your seat. She is also extremely knowledgeable, so the best in this sport at KU that I have seen have been developed by her after coming to the program. Coach Hovis can be a tough love coach at times, but you never need to doubt that she is wanting the absolute best for you.
