I almost selected “intense” only because there’s not an option that says “abusive”. I also chose one star responses only because I couldn’t submit it blank. Shaver is a horrible coach. His demeanor when he is recruiting players is completely different from who he really is. He is abusive and manipulative and has absolutely no interest in the athletes on his team as people. His only concern is wins and he uses abuse and intimidation to achieve that. He has destroyed my daughter’s love of volleyball in one season. He also uses intimidation and name calling with refs and gets away with it. We need to put a stop to this type of coaching.
