AMC itself does not care about women’s sports, and even though this coach has a losing record and negative feedback, he remains the coach. The coach is disorganized and usually takes things out on the players. He doesn’t know much about the game of softball and strategy so it feels like you are playing at a lower level than any other team. He clearly has favorites and it is obvious. The best way to secure a starting spot is by being a butt kisser which is extremely frustrating after he pretty much tells everyone they have a fair chance at playing. He also puts everything on the captains, even though he should really be the one doing those things. He does not create a good team culture and honestly doesn’t care about the culture at all. This coach does have a lot of connections and cares about players getting a good education but also is not the best person to run to if you feel like you are struggling. All in all, if you are okay with non-instructional coaching, backhanded remarks, and losing a lot, then AMC is the place for you.
