Coach Phil trains winners beyond the pool deck. Dedication, focus, and the ability to adapt to challenging conditions is a part of life. There is real failure beyond college athletics and if students are unprepared to face life's challenges, then they will suffer a lifetime of failure. Swimming is challenging and only for the most elite dedicated and focused individuals. Body and mind must be top level. Coach Phil was top level.
