I heard the warnings, but thought it would be better than all the previous ratings here. Mandy does not understand the definition of student-athlete. She is a bully who intimidates her swimmers with threats of removing their scholarship if they don’t improve. She is not able to show care and concern for swimmers facings challenges or hardship, only cares about the “numbers”. Most swimmers quit or transfer. Not sure how she keeps attracting talented swimmers. Please do not think Mandy will change and you will have a good experience here. So unfortunate that the Athletic Department will not address this bad situation at UC.
