If you’re a brainwashable, naive international student, then you’ve probably been recruited by coach fried. He just wants to win, not develop players. He recruits international students, taking spots away from deserving tax-paying American students. He used to supply underage students with alcohol to host parties for recruits. He’s a Wall Street man - operating on the idea that student athletes are transactional - if you’re not performing, he’ll give your spot away without trying to help you. He doesn’t know how to coach, he just tries to recruit the best players (even if that means going to Hong Kong)…
