I’ll preface this by saying you SHOULD NOT listen to the bad comments made on Juan on this website. They are all made my the same few people who are some of the most negative and non-team players I know. The only reason they had anything bad to say was because they didn’t get playing time, or knew how college sports work. Juan is the best coach I have ever had (I am currently on his team and have been for the past 2 years). Not only is he an amazing coach on the field, but his impact off the field is truly inspiring and he makes such a difference in all of his players lives. Juan’s values go unmatched and he cares more about the person rather than the player. He fosters our growth with Christ, each other, and within ourselves. I have personally experienced growth myself throughout my couple years at SCU solely because of Juan. I cannot say enough amazing things about Juan. If you are not only looking for a professional, knowledgeable, encouraging coach, but even better mentor and leader, SCU soccer is definitely the place to be:)
