Campbell seems like a solid coach at first glance, but being an athlete under him will kill your rowing career. He claims to be an exercise science major, but understands nothing about how the human body functions in training. He blames his athletes, but when the entire team is stagnating while doing his training plan that is obviously not the case. Myself and several other athletes made our own training plans and immediately saw better results. He also used extremely vulgar language(directed at multiple rowers including a female coxswain) in front of several teams at the IRA. He will also talk about athletes behind their backs and has overall created a toxic environment. I believe he is passionate about the sport but I would not recommend him to any athletes moving forward.
