I worked my entire life to play division 1, and unfortunately this coach ruined the entire experience for me. This coach was extremely emotional and unprofessional. She would throw temper tantrums if you did not understand or properly facilitate the drill she explained. She took a team that was conference champions under previous leadership, and turned it into the worst record year over year in program history. This had nothing to do with talent and everything to do with the toxic environment she cultivated. This woman plays minds games and promotes attitude and drama over leadership. She repeatedly established dominance over other staff members through public displays of disrespect and hierarchy. Additionally, she will select a small group of individuals that are most similar to her, and anyone else with a different worldview or personality is left by the wayside. Truly does not care about her other staff or the bulk of her players. The UNCW Women’s Volleyball program deserved better.
