As a former player, I can honestly saw Gina in neither. Gina is honest, direct, and tough. Some players respond to that, others don't. It's her style. She definitely cares about her players and will go out of the way to check in on them especially if they are injured, something most coaches don't do. However, the elephant in the room, is her lacrosse coaching knowledge. She clearly has a ton of experience having played at the highest level. She is strong at teaching technical skills, but is an abject failure and game planning and preparation. I have friends who played for other D1 programs and the scouting reports they receive are five times longer than what we get. Every team we play knows every play we will run, before we run it. And on when we are on defense, they anticipate our slides before we even make them. And when things go wrong, she has no ability to adjust. And then when it happens, her only response is screaming expletives at her team, not making a strategy or personnel adjustment. Transfers happen at lots of schools these days which make sense. But how many are losing their 2 to 3 best players every year. Based on talent alone, we should win 3-4 more games every game. I won't tell someone not to come to Cincy to play because I had a positive experience. However, if winning games and playing lax at the highest level is your goal, Cincy Lax isn't the best fit.
