As a coaching colleague who understands both the realities of collegiate athletics and the emotional challenges athletes face when expectations are not met, I feel compelled to address recent false claims made against Coach Kara Concheck upon her taking over at Capital. These statements are misleading, unsupported by facts, and clearly rooted in personal frustration rather than objective truth. It is very clear that Coach Kara is above the mess of Capital's former leadership and toxic culture. The review in question reflects the perspective of a disgruntled Capital player who did not earn significant playing time or recognition. Unfortunately, when athletes struggle to find a role or fail to receive the spotlight they hoped for, it is not uncommon for disappointment to be redirected as blame. That dynamic does not equate to misconduct, mistreatment, or poor leadership—it reflects unmet personal expectations. Coach Concheck leads with truth, love, and empathy despite those who want to be harmful. Coach Concheck’s career speaks loudly and consistently.
