I just happened to stumble across this forum and I feel so vindicated. I rowed under the coach from H**l in 2020 at Adrian as the only novice that year. I credit Bart completely with my back injury, as he never found it important that I switch sides. He spoke to you like a toddler, and any time you attempted to have a conversation, gaslighting became his default. 22 members of the men’s and women’s teams quit that year, and quitting was often met with ridicule and hostility. I personally received a long email saying I “have issues.” I transferred due to the horrific environment that man created, and I regret ever letting him talk me into going to that school in the first place.
