swam for him for one year, had to stay in a mental health ward so as not to kill myself because of how he treated us, and when he asked me why I felt like I needed to, he felt it was unnecessary 'because I was just being dramatic and needed to get over it'. made athletes swim while injured, constantly had racist undertones in how he treated people. continuously dismissed concerns about his behavior and at one point called me a 'lil' girl'... um I was in my twenties. Glad I only had to do a year; otherwise, no way I would have survived the environment.
