Shannon Hertz is a disgrace to women’s lacrosse. She not only subjected young women to excessive running, which damaged their physical bodies, but also their mental well-being. Hertz constantly talks about other players with anyone who will listen. The only reason Bloomsburg’s lacrosse program continues is due to the culture the girls create, but Hertz is so self-centered that she believes it’s because she’s a good coach. It’s a shame that Bloomsburg allows such a woman to lead a team, but McFarland is equally as embarrassing. As long as they’re running a lacrosse team, they’ll continue to mistreat young women in any way they please.
