Thank god for live streaming. Having watched a former player of mine under this coach I can offer you this with some parental insights - These girls have all played club/travel. They have all had a good coach who was a terrible person or a bad coach who was an amazing person. They know the difference. They don't care. They just want a good coach. This person is not it. No idea what kind of person she is, don't care. She is a terrible coach. In 2025 her assistant coach (who is also the pitch calling pitching coach) had to leave the team never to return and she never replaced her or any of the other coaches who ALL quit after attempting to coach with her over the past few years. After speaking to two of them they were just "disgusted" by this coaches treatment of the girls and of their fellow coaches. Not one exit interview was ever conducted by the now resigning AD Gail. SO - That's right, 2025 - ONE COACH FOR A WHOLE COLLEGE TEAM FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. NCAA average number of coaches for ANY division is 3.7 FULL TIME coaches per team. I'm sure that didn't effect the players development at all right? When you bat a base stealing slapper 2nd BEHIND a 375 hitter with great speed (had 36 SB this year) and power to both fields, AND YOU LEAVE IT LIKE THAT FOR HALF A SEASON, you should just turn in your coach card on the spot. Too many things like this to list here, but I gotta say this. There have been several cases where a player who has been parked on the bench has gone to Liz respectfully and asked, "Hey coach what do I need to work on or get better at to earn a spot? What kind of goals could I set ? What do you want to see from me?" Only to find themselves ignored and never seeing the field or the batting order again. MAKE ME BETTER COACH IF I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH NOW!!! Nah for daring to even question what I'm doing (which they didn't) you get to sit the bench for the rest of your life! Dare I mention she actually didn't play a senior on senior day? Who does that? Someone who doesn't actually want to be a coach and isn't actually invested in these young women. IT HAS TO STOP! Their practices are short with little to no actual instruction. Watching college players blow a pickle play because they hadn't practiced it, was depressing AF. No batting instruction. No full time pitching instruction (even though the part time person Alexis is, in fact, awesome, her contributions are over shadowed by Liz's constant narcissisms and self importance. In summary Liz mostly ignores her advice for her own reasons) no real content to her coaching. It's all just fluff like she doesn't even want to be there. The pitch calling "strategy" is one dimensional, not adaptable, not open to discussion (actually nothing is open for any sort of discussion) and she has not improved over the years of losing and giving up games because of bad pitch calling. Her man management and accountability for herself, is non-existent. She is obtuse, closed off and absolutely un-approachable. The administration has been given multiple examples of this persons inane and often insulting interactions with her players and her lack of accountability for her own failures only to continually stall, whitewash, make excuses, etc.. They are as much to blame for this debacle as Liz is. Want to do the right thing for Liz, let her move on to some other career where she might actually be happy. Sooner or later, if she is still the coach, there will be a lawsuit coming to Skidmore. In 2026 the girls flipped the script and in a move of incredible heart and character, have dedicated themselves to playing for each other, not for this coach. It has lead to some great successes and proves that with a different coach, they could achieve great things.
