I thought we were getting a winning coach that was sooooooo good. They had a better year last year with 17 kids on the team. This coaching staff is garbage. Absolutely terrible coaching decisions throughout the entire year. I guess this is what you get when you hire a retired math teacher as a d2 head coach. Like wake up people. The roster is loaded with first team all state talent and has the biggest pitching staff in the conference that isn’t used right at all. What an epic failure from the hiring committee. Just bc the dude knows ronda and alumni he’s the right choice?? Come to a game and watch the dude coach. It’s laughable. Let’s intentionally walk to hitters to load the bases for a GRAND SLAM. Straight idiotic softball IQ. It’s so bizarre to me people like this get jobs based on who they know. Even his last job was because they let him volunteer ages ago with no coaching history. All of Davenport leadership needs to be FIRED.
