I believe that she has always shown how much she believes in the team she is coaching and how dedicated she is to making the team successful. I think people need to understand sometimes a coach is doing what is best for the player and the team even when it is hard. People struggle when coaches hold them accountable or to a high standard but that just means the coach cares about you and knows what you are capable of. I believe if Coach Gail was to stay at Furman she would be able to lead them to their first conference championship. She already proved what she is capable of by leading Furman to their most successful season in history her first year with the program. I think the Furman athletics department needs to realize no matter what coach you hire some players will not like everything they do, but that does not mean they deserve to be fired. Overall, I hope to see Coach Gail be successful at another lacrosse program because she gives her all no matter where she is and still remained professional even when things did not go her way. At the end of the day sports are supposed to be competitive and challenge your toughness, so if you are not able to handle that you should not be playing a college sport. It is unfair to coaches to be fired for simply wanting their team to be successful. Coach Gail truly cared about her team and players more than many of the coaches I have ever seen.
