In my daughter's third year (the coach's second year), she was driven in a school van to a play date at Pitt. This makes sense; it is only a 15-minute drive. Here's the issue - there were not enough seats in the vans for the girls, so the girls had to sit on the floor of the van. Needless to say, there were a lot of angry parents who refused to let their daughters return to campus in the van. Instead, they drove them back to campus themselves. This was completely unacceptable, unprofessional, puts the school at risk, and puts athletes' lives at risk.
