If you are looking for a college baseball coach who treats 40-degree Pittsburgh spring doubleheaders like prime midsummer or October baseball, Coach Nic Rush is your guy. Chatham baseball hasn't had decades of entrenched D3 history to cruise on, and Rush coaches with the chip on his shoulder of a man determined to put the program on the map one gritty at-bat, one dirt-ball block, and one 90-foot sprint at a time. He demands accountability, expects you to play fast, and has zero patience for anyone jogging down the first-base line—even on a routine pop-up to short. He will challenge you, occasionally roast your pitch selection in front of everyone, and definitely make you question your life choices during conditioning. But when you make a play, execute a bunt, or shut down an inning, nobody in the Presidents' Athletic Conference is fired up harder for you than him.
