Discipline yourself and no one else has to….you will hear this motto over and over. And if yo turn his words into action you will become a better competitor on the court and in the classroom, I would describe my experience as transformational and grew up a lot in the four years in this volleyball program.

Ben knows a LOT about volleyball. He is a really strategic and smart coach, which has helped us out a lot. He can be very intense and overwhelming sometimes, especially if you are not a starter, but no one can deny the incredible strides he has made for the Wesleyan program in such a short amount of time!

Overall, Ben definitely pushes people to be better players, but more than that he pushes his players to be a better team. He puts the team first always, and so he will always put his best foot forward in terms of playing time-- he doesn't play favorites, he plays based on who he thinks will create the best 6 girls on the court at a time. Sometimes he can be tough, but he is always willing to listen to his players and creates a really energetic gym feel. I've really enjoyed playing for him.
