Mislead and gave up on me as a person and player long before I left. Not a horrible man but the game is more of a business for him than helping young men grow.

Coach Cal is a great coach. He makes it his mission to be personally connected with all of his players. The only coach I had that kept a notebook with him on the field at all times, taking important notes and covering it with the team later. His office was always open for us to talk to him.

Old school coach that does not connect well with younger generation of athlete. I can honestly say I never was truly motivated by any of his speeches or pre game talks. He is a figure head that will never lose his job til he decides to retire. He is a good guy, but not the greatest coach.

An old school type of coach, that doesn't adapt 100% well to this new era of players. He's a great guy but lacks being approachable at times. Also picks favorites, and makes it very obvious.

Excellent coach who truly cares about his players regardless of status (walk-in, scholarship, starter or backup). Genuine coach who exemplifies great character and knowledge of the game of football.
