I got the chance to meet Phil over lunch when my daughter was on her official visit to UNO. He helped put me at ease when talking about academics. He made sure that the school had her major and everything she needed to succeed academically, and as a parent that made me feel comfortable sending my daughter there knowing she has support academically and athletically.

I first met Phil when I get onto campus. He was nice and welcoming not just to me but to all the student-athletes. He was very helpful academically and made sure I was where I needed to be.

When I was feeling behind in school, Phil was able to provide me with the resources to get me back on schedule without even making me feel like I was behind.

When I got here as a transfer my eligibility had been messed up. Phil helped me fix that and work with me on that and it helped me understand it a lot. He was very personable and easy to talk to. I liked how honest he was but still being very kind and relatable during the process.

I met Phil on my visit and he had came to lunch with my parents and I. He made a really good impression on me and my parents. He made sure UNO had my major and explained in detail what courses I would take and what it would look like for me overall as a student athlete.

I don’t think I would have the academic of athletic success I had without Phil. He helped me when I couldn’t register for classes because it would interfere with our practice schedule and I deeply appreciated that. He also helped me when I had gotten sick to make sure I didn’t fall behind so I’m grateful to have had him as a resource being an athlete.

Phil made my transition to college very smooth and easy. He helped me with my schedule and make sure I had all my classes I needed in both my first and second semester. I couldn’t register for classes second semester because there was a hold on my account from a school I did not go to and he got it removed in 20 minutes when it would’ve taken me a week and I was able to register for classes and get all the ones I needed.
