She was the most communicative coach ever and very early on let me know where I stood on her recruiting roster. I could tell immediately how much she cared about the wellbeing of her athletes. When I went for my overnight I was so impressed by what great team culture there was, everyone was so supportive of each other.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to run in college, but Annick welcomed me with open arms. She is enthusiastic about running and inspires her athletes to be the best versions of themselves in all facets of life. As a Haverford grad, she understands that the rigors of academics are a large portion of her athletes' lives and is respectful and proud of their commitments to intellectual growth.

She works well with players and knows how to make everyone feel important. She is the coach you want for every player not just the ones who are “the best”, but she makes everyone want to get better and she sees the potential in all her runners/ athletes. She has no favorites and acknowledges everyone’s successes. She is still a new coach and is still molding her team community. She is still trying to find the balance between demanding the best out of everyone and seriousness and still making sure everyone feels comfortable and respected. She may not be the coach for runners who want the most competitive environments.

It didn't matter that I had never ran before, she showed that she believed in my and cared about my success as much as the fastest girls on the team. The team culture she's created made it so that I blended with the team and was able to make friends quickly.
